San Cassiano-Ca'Favretto, Venice, Canal Grande

"Traditional interiors and a fabulous location just off the Grand Canal without the extortionate price-tage"

Located on the Grand Canal in the very heart of Venice,5 minutes walking from Rialto bridge and at 15 from San Marco Square, the San Cassiano is the first Hotel in Venice which has been named Residenza d'Epoca from a special government commission of Fine Arts; this important grading was achieved thanks to its historical and artistic values; in particular it was the house-studio of Giacomo Favretto, the last XIX century venetian painter.

Completely restored, but maintaining the pecularities of an ancient Venetian palace, the hotel is situated in a quiet area where you can enjoy the real Venice off the main tourist tracks and only a short stroll from the Rialto Bridge.

Its wonderful position on the Grand Canal, in front of the most famous Ca' d'Oro, gives our guests the opportunity to see the real life of the main "waterstreet" of Venice, even sitting on our private terrace, sipping their favourite drinks.

Some bedrooms face the Grand Canal, and all the rooms have private bath, TV satellite, telephone, minibar, safe, radio, hair-dryer, air-conditioning.

A hot buffet breakfast is served on the “piano nobile” in a wonderful room facing the Grand Canal.
